Ling Bai
Founder & CEO
Ling Bai is the Founder and CEO of VL Energy, where she leads the company's vision to revolutionize industrial energy management and emissions compliance through artificial intelligence.
Drawing from her extensive background in emissions management at major energy organizations like Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) and Keyera Energy, Ling founded VL Energy in 2014. She recognized early on that predictive AI could solve the industry's most complex compliance and operational bottlenecks.
Under her leadership, VL Energy has scaled rapidly—securing critical funding from Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA), partnering with industry giants like Suncor Energy, and securing the landmark regulatory approval that put ES-PEMS™ on the map. Ling continues to drive the company's innovation, regularly contributing to technical research on the use of stacked deep-learning models to predict cogeneration unit gas emissions.
